Think of Botox results like a bell curve. You’ll start noticing initial effects within 3-7 days, with the peak appearing around 2-3 weeks. After this, the effects will slowly taper off over several months. By giving yourself 4-6 weeks before an event, you’re ensuring that your look reaches its peak well before the big day, while also giving time for any minor adjustments to ensure everything looks perfect.

Planning ahead ensures you’ll walk into your event feeling refreshed, confident, and at your best!

Benefits of chemical peels include:

• Improved Skin Texture and Tone: Chemical peels can smooth out rough skin, reduce uneven pigmentation, and enhance overall skin texture.

• Reduced Fine Lines: Peels can help to diminish the apperance of fine lines and wrinkles, especially around the eyes and mouth.

• Acne Scars and Hyperpigmentation Reduction: Peels can help reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, acne scars, sunspots, age spots, and melasma. By exfoliating the top layer of skin and promoting cell turnover, results promote a more even skin tone.

• Minimized Pores: By removing the outer layer of skin, chemical peels can also make pores appear smaller and less noticeable.

Chemical peels can vary in strength, ingredients, depth, and purpose. At MIEL, we offer three types:

• Illuminize Peel: Provides vibrant, radiant looking skin with minimal downtime. This is a gentle peel that is great before events!

• Vitalize Peel: Diminishes the appearance of fine lines and addresses uneven skin tone that can be caused by acne scarring or other pigmentary changes.

• Rejuvenate Peel: Smooths the appearance of fine lines and improves uneven texture.

All peels include a dermaplaning treatment prior to chemical peel application. See noticeable improvement after just one peel and compelling results after three to six peels.

How much does it cost?

At MIEL, the cost of a standalone dermaplaning treatment is $75, or you can add on this before any Botox treatment for only $25.

Liz graduated from Boston College in 2019 with her Master of Science in Nursing and has worked in pediatric and adolescent medicine ever since. In 2024, she started MIEL with a goal to help others sift through the noise of the skincare industry to find a sustainable, refreshing routine.

Liz is the first to tell you that that you don’t need Botox but believes if it makes you feel more confident in your own skin, the choice is only yours to make. And so, MIEL was born on the pillars of her values as a primary care provider: to empower patients to make decisions about their own wellbeing through bodily autonomy and shared decision making in all aspects of their care.
